USB
biosignal amplifier
...highly accurate biosignal data acquisition and processing system
g.USBamp -
g.tec's latest 24 bit biosignal acquisition device - is the perfect
tool for recording multimodal biosignal data with highest quality. This
allows to investigate brain-, heart-, muscle-activity, eye movement,
respiration, galvanic skin response and other body signals. g.USBamp is USB 2.0 enabled and comes with 16
simultaneous sampled biosignal channels and 2 analog output channels. A
total of 4 independent grounds guarantee no interference between the
recorded signals. The amplifier is simply connected to the USB socket on your PC/Notebook and
can immediately be used for data recording. Record up to 256 channels using multiple g.USBamp devices. |
Highlights
-
EEG, ECG, EMG and EOG recording via USB
- 16 analog inputs with 24 Bit and a sampling frequency of up to 38400 Hz
per channel
- Digital filtering of the biosignal data (DC - 19.2 kHz)
- Over-sampling to achieve a high signal to noise ratio
- Simultaneous sample and hold for 16 channels
- Direct connection of electrodes with standard safety connectors and
system connectors
Excellent
data quality
Each of the 16 analog to digital converter is
operating at 2.4576 MHz. An oversampling of 64 times yields the sampling
rate of 38400 Hz per channel. A powerful floating point Digital Signal
Processor performs in addition oversampling and real-time filtering of
the biosignal data (between 0 Hz - 19200 Hz). The sampling frequency can
be selected up to 38400 Hz.
Therefore, a typical sampling frequency of 256 Hz yields to an
oversampling rate of 9600. Hence, a very high signal to noise ratio is
obtained especially needed in the recording of evoked potentials in EEG
or in identifying small amplitude changes in high-resolution ECG
recordings. You are measuring far below the noise-range of conventional
amplifiers!
Calibration
For channel equalization - which is especially
needed in multi-channel recordings - the device has an internal
calibration unit. The calibration frequency can be adjusted to the
frequency range of interest.
Skin-Electrode Impedance
In order to guarantee highest quality
measurements the transition impedance of the skin-electrode must be
controlled. The internal impedance testing unit measures the impedance
for the individual electrodes.
Common mode noise cancellation
An additional digital to analog converter
allows a driven-right leg (DRL) noise cancellation when ECG is recorded.
