Software

ActiView LABview data acquisition software for the ActiveTwo systemData acquisition software is available for use on a wide variety of computing platforms, including stand-alone Windows applications, LabVIEW applications, MATLAB-SIMULINK applications and specialized applications for Pocket PCs.  Capabilities range from simple recording with on-line monitoring of incoming raw data to real-time analysis with feedback to control a device or display.  Each data acquisition software option has a limited range of devices supported, so be sure to consider this in reviewing your software options.

ActiView software The ActiveTwo system is delivered with free open-source acquisition software called ActiView.  ActiView is a complete acquisition program designed to display all ActiveTwo channels on screen and save all the data to a disk in .BDF format.  The layout is designed to give the user a quick and simple check of the quality of the data.  ActiView can be used for acquisition of EEG / ECG / EMG signals and more.
g.Recorder g.Recorder is available for g.BSamp, g.MOBIlab+ and g.USBamp. It supports all g.tec biosignal-acquisition devices and provides a comfortable configuration and setup of the system. Signals and parameters can be checked in the display mode, stored to disk and afterwards reviewed in the offline/replay mode.  Video data can be stored simultaneously with the biosignals if required.

Pocket PC The Pocket PC recording software is available for g.MOBIlab+. The system displays the acquired data on the screen for visual control and stores the data to a flash memory on the Pocket PC. Each channel is sampled with 256 Hz. Using a memory of 256 MB allows to acquire and store 8 channels of data for 17 h. With the 1GB storage it is possible to record about 70 h of data.
Developer Zone Research application development environment for testing and releasing applications in the area of biosignal acquisition and analysis: Next to ready-to-go solutions for data acquisition, real-time analysis and data processing (see g.Recorder, g.MOBIlab+, g.RTanalyze and g.BSanalyze), g.tec provides also tools for developing customer specific applications.
Real-time analysis Does your application require real-time or on-line analysis of data AS IT IS ACQUIRED, or can you imagine a way in which such a capability might make your research more efficient and fruitful? If so, these software options may be of interest to you. Each of these applications is compatible with only a limited range of data aquisition devices, so be careful to consider this in your decision making process.
ActiveTwo API for MATLAB The ActiveTwo API for MATLAB is a programming interface to allow MATLAB developers to capture live data directly from ActiveTwo with low latency and minimal overhead. It requires no toolboxes and allows you to edit code on the fly as you run the application. An integrated device simulator permits off-line development. A built-in data quality check alerts you of data integrity problems.
