Modular biosignal analysis and
multimodal integration suite
EMSE Suite 5.1 is a superb, modular solution for
the full range of EEG / MEG and multimodal neuroimaging applications, and
the capabilities of the software lend themselves to analysis of ECG /
BSPM data as well. EMSE Suite includes a set of powerful tools for source localization and
combination of biosignal results with other imaging modalities, such as MRI, CT,
fMRI and PET. EMSE's modular architecture allows modules to operate
independently or as a tightly-integrated suite. |

Modules
Locator
3D measurement of electrode positions. When used
together with digitizing hardware, Locator allows you to
measure accurately electrode locations and external head
shape in 3 dimensions. These data may then be used for MRI
coregistration and more accurate source estimation. |
Data EditorPreprocessing of EEG / MEG data. This module may be
used as a standalone program to view, analyze, filter and
transform EEG and MEG time series data, and to select an
interval for further analysis, including topographic
mapping. In addition, the data are directly accessible
to Source Estimator module for source analysis, and to the
Visualizer module for 3D rendering. Data Editor includes
signal processing and statistical analysis tools. Data
Editor takes input in ASCII format or in native mode from
several hardware vendors. |
Source EstimatorElectromagnetic source estimation. This module may
be used for discrete or distributed dipole source
analysis from EEG or MEG data which has been provided by
the Data Editor module. Three shell spherical
models or realistic head models (using data from the
Image Processor module ) may be used for field
calculations. Source estimates may be output to MR
Viewer for MRI overlay. |
MR Viewer
Display of MRI and other images in combination with
electromagnetic source locations. Displays
magnetic resonance and other images, with specialized
features designed for the overlay of electromagnetic
source estimation and other functional imaging data.
Seeded dipoles may be obtained (e.g. from fMRI data) for
use with Source Estimator. Image data may be input
in raw byte, raw word, ACR/NEMA/DICOM, and several
proprietary formats. MR Viewer is the base module
for Image Processor and Visualizer. |
Image ProcessorImage segmentation, mesh generation and cortical
unfolding. Starting with a volumetric dataset from
the MR Viewer base module, Image Processor tools support
segmentation, boundary mesh generation, and cortical
unfolding. The output may be made available to
Visualizer for 3D rendering, or to Source Estimator for
realistic head shape modeling and cortical surface
restriction.
|
Visualizer3D visualization of EEG, MRI, electromagnetic source
locations and other image modalities. Use this
module to obtain and view 3D rendered images,
combining data from several modalities, including
topographic mapping, MRI data and electromagnetic
source analysis. |
EMSE Suite runs under Windows 95/98/NT4/2000/XP on Intel CPU's.
