BESA 5.2.2
BESA 5.2.2 is the latest BESA release. The following new features
compared to the previous version 5.2 have been added:
- New realistic standard FEM models: Based on a
new averaged standard head, computed from 50 adult MRIs, FEM models
with an anisotropic conductivity distribution of the bone layer have
been developed for different age groups.
- New functions for quick and convenient EEG Review
facilitate standard EEG and MEG review operations, including
mapping, pattern search, and the Top Viewer.
- New ready-to-use batch scripts for immediate
source analysis and imaging of sharp EEG transients, e.g. spikes.
- New batch functions now allow batch-processed
FFT averaging and baseline correction.
- Updated data readers for various EEG and
MEG data formats
In addition, several minor improvements and changes have been
implemented, many of them based on customer feedback and requests. A
detailed introduction to the new features is given in the BESA Help
Chapter 'What's new in BESA 5.2.2'.
Important note: In order to run BESA 5.2.2, you need
to update your hardlock. This hardlock update is free
of charge for all BESA 5.2 users and for all customers who purchased
BESA after December 1, 2006. You can download the latest available
update file for your hardlock
here (note that for hardlocks purchased before December 1, 2006,
this update file will not include the BESA 5.2.2 license).
Installation: If you have already installed BESA
5.2, please deinstall this version first using the Windows Control
Panel. The files that you have generated and your settings will not be
deinstalled and will remain available in the BESA installation folder.
Then install BESA 5.2.2 into the same directory as the former
installation folder of BESA 5.2, so that these user-specific files will
be applied also in BESA 5.2.2.
