Amplifier
/ Converter Modules are miniature PC boards that are installed in the A/D
Interface Box to add channels to the ActiveTwo system. Each Amplifier /
Converter board adds eight monopolar channels to the system, and each A/D
Interface Box can accommodate up to eight Amplifier / Converter Modules (256
channels). These channels can be configured for use with:
- Active electrodes, available in
pin-type or flat-type.
- Optional Sensors for galvanic skin
response, respiration, temperature or pulse.
- Passive
electrodes wired to the standard 68-pin input connector. Active electrodes
provide far superior performance compared to passive electrodes, so we offer
this option only for special circumstances where the active electrodes are not
appropriate.
- Auxiliary
analog inputs wired to multi-pin circular DIN connectors on the front panel of
the A/D Interface Box. These analog inputs are available only for use with
battery-powered and self-powered signal sources such as a condenser microphone
or photocell.
- Input
Buffer Box for adapting channels configured for active electrodes for use with
passive electrodes.
All
channels on an eight channel Amplifier / Converter Module must be configured
identically.
